The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Doug who served as chair of the
meeting.
THIS IS THE FIRST MEETING, IT IS IMPORTANT EVERYONE READ THROUGH THESE
MINUTES AND IDENTIFY TASK ITEMS FOR THEM TO COMPLETE.

 | January 17, 2010 Hoopla Station Marathon, 9:30 am to 11 am. Mile 21 to
22. Phyllis will pick up sound makers and bring banner. |
 | Facebook Group Membership email. |
 | 2nd Wed Jan April July Oct – Reservation with St. Luke’s Church (no

 | New meeting place – Pastor Davis, Deacon (? Need Name) we need to find
out who sets up chairs, etc. Write it down as an understanding, do we put
chairs back after meeting, etc. Donation amount $160 per meeting, gates will

 | Doug would like to meet one more time, January 17 at 11 am or directly
after marathon station at Peggy’s house. (All, Doug to make calendar event
for this after setting up pres/vp email) |
 | Doug wants to check with Brian about accessing email direct instead of
receiving forwards. Doug wants to invite Rachel (data entry tech) or Norman
(for website info), Wendy asks if we should invite Brian to January 17, 2010

 | Wendy discussion on Advertisements – Caceres Homes wants back in. |
 | Board members need reminder for 2010; Cindy, Will, Wendy, Doug, Peggy

 | Doug wants to expand membership and sell it to the Commercial Business.
They could get membership without Advertisement and get business window
sticker. Once a year, we could have membership list for businesses thanking
them for their support. |
 | Doug thinks restaurants would be good fodder for new advertisers. Wendy
mentions Joel volunteered to search out new advertisers. (Joel) |
 | Doug mentions rblok.com website, Wendy says she has been in contact with
them. |
 | Wendy hands out her write-up to meeting regarding advertising. We only
take payment by check to PO Box per Peggy/Phyllis. 6 issues is 1.5 years.
Leave 1 and 3 numbers,. Make 1 and 4 instead, scratch 6, rework totals.

 | Current hot topics: Quiet zone, permit parking (signs up in February),
neighborhood parking, curb and gutter v ditches (ditches will stay),
sidewalks, drainage in some areas. Postage size property next to Church
costs $150,000. Recycling (Phyllis wants it to be Big Container), Nelli Keys
Park (locks changed by Parks Department, need to know who did it and get new

 | Neighborhood Speed Limit and One Way needs to be addressed per Doug in
the coming year. |
 | Wendy recommends Buffalo Soldier Museum Speaker for RMCC Meeting, or
Dark Gallery (Linda Rosteconni) as a Social. (TBD, Doug to Call?) |
 | Wendy says Wabash does Social every Thursday. |
 | Wendy needs 400 to 500 word article from Doug by second week of February

 | COH, Donald Perkins, Planning department, orientation for different
topics related to City with contact information. (Do we need to set this up

 | Doug needs to sign-up for Citizens Net from City, houstontx.gov. (Doug)

 | Peggy wants Social at Lorenzo’s Grill on January 25, 2010. Peggy will
call them. (Peggy) |
 | Email regarding Hoopla from Phyllis to Doug to send to everyone.

 | Keep metal stands, recycle plastic signs (all of them) for Quarterly

 | Depelchin Meeting area would be great. See if we need that room to move

 | Print 50 signs, Doug will handle it, give him sample sign. (Doug) |
 | Garage sale in April or May, need to be in new Newsletter. (Peggy/Wendy)
