Doug Jones, President

Cindy McCauley, Vice President,

Cindy has been a resident of Rice Military for over seven years and lives in the
5000 block of Feagan.
She has been a RMCC member since shortly after moving into the neighborhood and
has previously been involved is several RMCC committees. Cindy recently left her
position as Government Affairs Manager with a downtown Houston petrochemical
company after 18 years of service under a voluntary severance program. She is
currently evaluating plans and options for the next phase of her life and
career. Cindy has a past history of high level involvement in a number of
business and civic associations including officer and executive board positions
with groups such as the Texas Association of Business, the Texas Association of
Manufacturers and the League of Women Voters. She looks forward to contributing
to the continued improvement of Rice Military in whatever way she can.
Kathy Zimmerman, Treasurer
Kathy moved to Rice Military in 2007 from Baltimore's Inner Harbor. Originally
from Houston, Kathy has moved around with the energy industry since 1980 and is
currently Marketing Director for Petrocom Energy Group. With interests in the
theater and arts community, Rice Military was the perfect place to settle in
Houston.
Will Wilkinson, Secretary

Will moved to Rice Military in 2006 with his wife Wendy, the Rice Military
Newsletter Editor. Will is originally from San Antonio and moved to Houston in
1995. He has been a Civil Engineer since graduating from Texas A&M University in
1992. Will started WD Engineering in 2005 and Will and Wendy moved into the
neighborhood in 2006.

Phyllis Thomason, Outreach Chairperson

Phyllis has lived in the Rice Military neighborhood for four and a half years.
She has served on the Outreach / Social Committee working on the dedication of
Nellie Keyes Park and the celebration of National Night Out, and has organized
the RMCC monthly socials this past fall. Phyllis became a Houstonian by choice
40 years ago, moving here from central Texas. Her life long career has been in
luxury retailing where she held the positions of Public Relations Director,
Merchandise Manager /Assistant Store Manager, and Designer Salon Manager. Since
her retirement, she has become very involved with The Guild at HBU and is a
member of the advisory committee of Dress for Success Houston.
"Moving in from the suburbs to Rice Military has been the greatest thing ever!
We love Memorial Park, walking the trails along Buffalo Bayou, and attending the
movies and live productions downtown."
Peggy Moore, Social Chairperson

Peggy has lived in the Rice Military neighborhood since 2003. Peggy was born in
Washington DC, raised in the Maryland suburbs, and has lived in Houston since
the mid-70's. Prior to retiring, Peggy worked as a real estate agent. She
continues to help with marketing for Heritage Texas Properties on a part time
basis. She really enjoys living in the neighborhood because of its proximity to
Memorial Park and the theatre district. She looks forward to meeting more of her
neighbors by volunteering with RMCC.
Wendy Wilkinson, Newsletter Editor

Wendy moved to Rice Military in 2006 with her husband Will, the Rice Military
Board Secretary. Originally from
Kansas, she moved to Tomball, Texas, in the late ‘90s where she taught English
at the high school for seven years. Wendy and Will moved to the Rice Military
neighborhood for Will’s business as a Civil Engineer, and now both enjoy the
socials, book clubs, and other local activities. Wendy became editor of the
newsletter in January of 2008.
